We support your fundamental, constitutional right to a new team name. But Joanie loves Bocce is a great, solid name. Changing it would only force us to compare our new team name against the classic, two-time-winning name we are so fond of (would we really be happy as Whitney and Bocce Brown?). Here are our top five reasons for keeping our name the same:
5. Some of our team members are getting up in age. We try not to confuse them with change.
4. We comfort our losses by proclaiming intellectual superiority over the teams that ask, "which one of you is Joanie?".
3. We chose not to strengthen our creative brain cells. We were going to lose them to $2 Peroni's anyway.
2. The Bocce wine that we keep winning is the only solvent strong enough to get the eighteen 419 Allstars tattoos off my ass.
1. We're holding out for a cameo on the reality show "Scott Baio is 40 and pregnant".
Looking forward to seeing you all out on the fields!
Jenn
Got something to say? Then say it here! We're giving League members the opportunity to talk it up, share pictures, comment on the previous night's escapades, and keep the DC Bocce community alive and kicking all week long. For an invitation to blog all you have to do is ask.

if you're going to be lazy and not change the team name, then i think its only fair to excuse your team for "best name" purposes.
ReplyDeletelet me know if i need to put forth a proper proposal to the "black shirts" on this item.
