As a both a life long black shirt and a member of a Mercoledi (Wednesday) Division team, I would like to talk about our so called Junior Varsity Blues.
Mercoledi teams may not close down the Pour House and take Punctuation Shots, but we still know how to party. We aren't "marathon" runners, marathon runners are stoopid.
We are sprinters. We dont need to be in for the long haul.
We go hard, we go fast, we take shots of JACK.
Then, after pounding half a dozen Peroni's (or Miller Lites) and chowing down on $5 Rookie Burgers (the best special this side of the Capital), we can go home. Sometimes alone, sometimes with new friends, sometimes with old friends, and sometimes for dancing (as made famous by DJ Sometimes.)
...And if they dont dance, well, then they're no friends of mine. And yes Rahele, your friends from Luca Bocce totally rock the party and lead the way with their Rolling Stone inspired McJagg-Off here:
Got something to say? Then say it here! We're giving League members the opportunity to talk it up, share pictures, comment on the previous night's escapades, and keep the DC Bocce community alive and kicking all week long. For an invitation to blog all you have to do is ask.

Mercoledi totally rose to the challenge last week. In fact, they are now leading the pole for championship trophy.
ReplyDelete5/7 was a night for the record books. Hump day doesn't need a new meaning when we are talking about Wednesday bocce.
Guess whose laugh is immortalized in this clip...
