Valentines for Charity a Huge Success!

Despite the post-Valentine's Day delay due to the snowpocalypse the Week 4 Valentines for Charity fundraiser was a great success. Almost everyone who turned out at the Legion and Pour House pulled a $1 Valentine out of the pink giveaway box. Prizes ranged from candy to tattoos to condoms, with the big winners going home with an indoor bocce set, a $50 gift certificate to Pour House, or a Kiss from a black shirt (plus VIP passes to the upcoming Pacquiao fight!

We sold 225 Valentines, so with the DC Bocce match that's $450 that will go towards the upkeep and maintenance of Garfield Park. Thanks to everyone who participated!

Located at 2nd and F Streets, SE, this park is the site where DC Bocce's inaugural season took place six years ago. Since then, we've used the park every spring and summer to host our outdoor Capitol Hill Leagues. Garfield is also the home of the only public bocce courts in DC. You can find out more information on the park through our website.
