This Saturday marks the 3rd annual Columbia Heights Day festival. DC Bocce is proud to be a sponsor this year and we'll be at the field across from Wonderland at Kenyon and 11th Streets demonstrating bocce to the masses and playing a few rounds. Last year they had a band, petting zoo, and demonstrations and giveaways from dozens of the area retailers. I think the camel spat on a ladies dog, so that was a highlight. The local watering holes like Wonderland, The Heights, Room 11, Looking Glass Lounge, Meridian Pint, and others have day-long specials and parties to celebrate the festival. If you live in the neighborhood or just like daytime fun (and drinking) come out an join us!
