Flair Week Is HERE!

As you may have noticed, we enjoy giving away items from week-to-week. Week Five will allow a little more creativity on your part because we're having a Best Team Flair Contest. Winners can choose from a $50 gift certificate to Pour House, an indoor bocce set, or a $25 gift certificate to Good Stuff Eatery! Losers will receive a team building experience, random glares from people, and of course...our gratitude.

This season's contest will be much like last: Votes will be sold for $1 and the 3 teams with the most votes at the end of the night have their pick of the prizes! All proceeds are for charity, with money going to the Garfield Park Association to help with the upkeep of our beloved outdoor bocce venue in the heart of Capitol Hill.

Valentines for Charity a Huge Success!

Despite the post-Valentine's Day delay due to the snowpocalypse the Week 4 Valentines for Charity fundraiser was a great success. Almost everyone who turned out at the Legion and Pour House pulled a $1 Valentine out of the pink giveaway box. Prizes ranged from candy to tattoos to condoms, with the big winners going home with an indoor bocce set, a $50 gift certificate to Pour House, or a Kiss from a black shirt (plus VIP passes to the upcoming Pacquiao fight!

We sold 225 Valentines, so with the DC Bocce match that's $450 that will go towards the upkeep and maintenance of Garfield Park. Thanks to everyone who participated!

Located at 2nd and F Streets, SE, this park is the site where DC Bocce's inaugural season took place six years ago. Since then, we've used the park every spring and summer to host our outdoor Capitol Hill Leagues. Garfield is also the home of the only public bocce courts in DC. Skeeball Contest for Haiti Earthquake Relief

We really appreciate everyone who participated in the Week 2 charity Skeeball Contest at Pour House. Participants bought in for $1/game all attempting to reach the night's top score. Congratulations to the winners, who received either an indoor bocce set or a $50 Pour House gift certificate.

All totaled we raised $182 and with the DC Bocce match we'll be sending $364 to Haiti KONPAY for earthquake relief for the people of Haiti. We would like to thank the skeeball company, Capitol Amusements, as well as the Pour House for helping with the competition. And a special thanks to all the participants!

Super Bowl Party at Pour House!

We want to take this opportunity to spread the word to everyone that our friends at Pour House are hosting a Super Bowl party this Sunday and offering a great deal! For $20 you can have all the Miller Lite, Yuengling and Bud Light you can drink, plus for an additional $15 you can have all-you-can-eat Burgers and Hot Dogs. During a 4 hours game those deals will definitely pay off. And of course other specials will be available throughout the night along with the full menu if you're just looking to have a beer or two. Tickets for both specials can be purchased at the door or in advance here.

McFadden's Super Bowl Party

Super Bowl XLIV comes up this Sunday and West End sponsor bar McFadden's would like to invite all football (and bocce) lovers to join their Super Bowl extravaganza, kicking off at 6pm. Throughout the game they will be offering $3 Miller Lite and Coors Light drafts/bottles, $10 pitchers, as well as wing and burger specials. In addition, several prizes will be raffled off including a 42-inch TV!
